DESCRIPTION:Whittington Wharf\, Ellesmere Road\, Welsh Frankton\, Oswestry SY11 4NU \nThere are numerous places of interest within a modest drive from the rally field\, including Ironbridge\, Telford\, Oswestry and the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct near Llangollen which carries the Llangollen Canal over the River Dee.\nChester is a City with a lot of interest and within a short drive there are numerous Churches and Castles.\nThe Welsh border is not far from the rally field and there are many interesting places ‘over the border’\, including Welshpool.\nThere are many good walks in the area including the towpath of the Shropshire Branch of the Llangollen Canal. \nSome social events will be organised and any charges will be collected at the rally.\nMore details will be provided nearer the time of the rally.\nWe will have access to a marquee for the full duration of the rally and are investigating a meal in the local pub (just a few yards from the rally field.\nFor social events in the marquee\, we are considering a wine and cheese evening\, bacon sandwiches and various fun and games evenings.\nWe will have the marquee open every evening\, but only envisage providing entertainment every other evening.\nThe site owners have a couple of day boats which will be made available for hire by groups of up to 12 ralliers for around £120.00 per day.\nAs fuel etc is subject to inflation we cannot confirm the exact price per day until nearer the rally.

T\nhere are two pubs in the village both serving food plus a fish shop.\nThere are good walks around the site all suitable for dog walking too. \nWe will be arranging bacon sandwiches\, cream teas plus a game’s afternoon with Pimm’s.\nThere will be evening socials with bingo\, games and quizzes.\nOne evening we will organise a take-away from the Cantonese Restaurant to have in the Coleman shelters.
